For every Train SMART course, students must login with our learning management system. To learn more about supported devices and browsers, click here. For optimum performance and safety, we strongly recommend that students use laptops or tablets to take our courses, not mobile phones.
Additionally, live (or synchronous) courses are held over Zoom. To download Zoom, click here.
No, participants do not need a Zoom account to attend and complete one of our live courses.

Course Questions

Students must be at least 18 years old to attend a Train SMART course and be legally eligible to possess a firearm. See our Terms of Use to learn more.
No, our courses are designed for both prospective and current gun owners regardless of their prior experience with firearms.

Yes. Upon successfully completing all the requirements for each course, you will be directed to receive a certificate of completion that you can save or print.
Students who purchase an on-demand course will have 90 days from the original purchase date to complete the course.
All Train SMART course fees are final and non-refundable except as required by law. However, we will give you full credit for a future class if you notify us by emailing us at [email protected] 48 hours before the start of your scheduled class. The credit is non-transferable, has no cash value, and must be used within 30 days of the cancellation date. Cancelling with less than 48 hours in advance of a class will forfeit all credit.
If we cancel a course for any reason, you will receive a credit which may be used to reschedule your course. This credit will expire one year from the date of cancellation of the initial course.
