Stephanie

Stephanie grew up all over the U.S. and Europe, and even did a short stint in South America after college. As a child of Air Force parents, Stephanie has moved over 20 times throughout her life. She now calls Virginia home. Biracial with family roots stretching from Hawaii to Appalachia, she strives to bring an inclusive perspective to her work as a Train SMART instructor.

Stephanie bought her first gun for self-protection and later married into a family of responsible gun owners who deepened her respect for firearm safety. With a background in trauma-informed care and counseling as well as de-escalation, her goal as an instructor is to ensure every participant feels informed, included, and confident in their choice to own and use a gun safely.
